Lookup PO # During Invoice Entry

Showroom Exchange now includes a search pane within the Invoice add page. You can look up a purchase order by choosing a manufacturer code, and then search based on the order date, cancel date and/or booked date. The most common usage is for manufacturers/designers that often do not include PO numbers on their commission statements. This new feature enables invoice entry without having to leave the page to look-up possible POs that respective invoices can be applied to.

Performance Optimization for Exporting to Excel

Showroom Exchange has been optimized for better performance when exporting customers or orders to Excel. This improvement is more noticeable for showrooms with large number of records.

This feature is either set to export what columns are showing, or to export all information. If you would like to change these settings, email us at help@readytoview.com

Search by “$ range” on the Customer View Page

“I believe in contacting my best customers often and without this feature we would have to research either by reports or checking each customer’s history. Also during market time we email all of our stores but after not getting in touch with our customers we start calling. A customer who purchased $800 in 2010 will not be called, a customer who bought $20,000 in 2010 will be contacted many times. Everyone is invited to come into my showroom and we help them all but we make 85% of our income with 15% of our stores, the 15% keep me in business”
a showroom exchange subscriber’s view of this new feature.

You now have the ability to search on the customer view page by the amount a customer has purchased. The new “$ active” column (also available as “$ booked”) lets you search by “booked dollars”, “active dollars” and it even lets you decide if you want to search on the total amount a customer has purchased from all mfrs or an order specific amount .

In order to access the settings, just click on the gear icon that appears next to the “$ range” column header and adjust the settings accordingly.  You also have additional options when you click on the “last canceldate” or “last orderdate” column header.
The screen-shot below shows where you can access the settings to view this newly released feature.

You can now assign a single note to multiple manufacturers

We have made a change to the “notes” section of showroom exchange that now lets you refer the note to multiple manufacturer’s at the same time. Â This will help users add notes more quickly as they do not have to add a common note for every manufacturer.

See the screen-shot below to show the multiple selection options for the mfrs.

Fundamental change to the searching function in showroom exchange

In an effort to make searching simpler and more intuitive, we have made a change to the search function on view pages. This change does not apply to report filters.

You will no longer be required to use an asterisk (*) when doing a wildcard searches in any of the columns on the view pages, e.g., customers, orders, etc. We have changed Showroom Exchange so that all you need to do is type out the criteria you are looking for.

“fred” will yield the same result as “*fred*”

“fred*” and “*fred” will still behave as they did before

If it is your preference to continuing using the old logic, we can switch your showroom back. Just email help@readytoview.com with the following subject, “switch back the search function”
